Reviewed by dianaenchanteread it because of A LOT of good reviews from booktok. okay the thing is the first part of the plot twist made some sense. but when it involved the second man (not spoiling who iykyk) i was genuinely thrown away by how farfetched it was because.. why? why do you need to relate the 'villain' with that man? so unnecessary. and dont make me start with the last letter. i was okay with the revealing, but the confession about their condition is just yea nope this is too much. i probably will stop taking recommendation from booktok because you dont know how heavily this book is praised there that i really thought the plot twist is great. i really hope i can find myself better thriller books bcs i cant bring myself reading thriller like this
Reviewed by rita 🐝I’m honestly still in shock. This book fooled me the entire time! The only thing I actually guessed was the whole “true identity” thing, but everything else? I was totally played like an idiot. Okay, I’ll admit I’m not exactly the sharpest when it comes to thrillers lol but still, this story was just so incredible. It was my first Riley Sager book and I definitely plan on picking up more, ‘cause I loved his writing too. I do wish we’d gotten a little more out of this story though…
Reviewed by Mallery CardarelliThis book had me hooked from the start. The imagery made me feel like I was right there witnessing everything that had happened. The ending was not what I expected for Lenora and Kit. Virginia did end up surprising me throughout the whole book. She is incredible and brave for what she had to do to keep the truth from forthcoming. Overall, this is another book I will recommend to people who enjoy thrillers.
Reviewed by Priya Omg. One of the best thrillers I've ever read. Even tho I thought one part of the plot twist didn't 100% make sense, the other plot twists absolutely made up for it. I'm still in shock and it's probably going to take a while to get over this book.

To be fair it was pretty interesting and I wasn’t bored at all so that’s a plus, but there were many things that made no sense to me and felt forced. In the end the plot changed so often and some of the twists just felt forced. It was still a good book and I like books where a lot happens but as I said the only thing that really bothered me were some story lines and explanations of things i.e. Virginia pretending to be paralyzed for 55 years just to get back at her sister. This was so stupid to me.
