Reviewed by AnsoTerrible copy of Mean Girls. I started this a while ago and stopped reading when I was about 50% done. And I hated it, truely. I could not relate to the main character Bree. I am still wondering if this was supposed to be some kind of cynic view or whatever on kids born at the end of the 90s. It was just so bad, over the top and flat. I give it 1 stars because tonight I picked it back up and found myself not hating (just strongly disliking) the 2nd half of the story. At least Bree was not as annoying and arrogant anymore (because I really hated her attitude over the first half of the book. claiming to be above the popular kids because she's reading classics and is so smart and different). In the end she kind of (maybe?) realized that her behaviour wasn't much better. Still the plot and characters remain superficial and sterotyped. There just really isn't much to gain from "The Manifesto on How to be Interesting".
