Reviewed by LiaMeine Meinung bleibt gleich wie beim ersten Teil, eher Romance als Fantasy. Leider fehlt es hier nochmal deutlich mehr an Tiefe, die Kraft die Verena hat, wird auch null thematisiert (mag es ja null, dass sie jetzt immer so genannt wird: 🙃 der andere Name war ja der Name ihrer Mutter, das war doch viel schöner..). Zudem finde ich die Beziehung zu Drace immer komischer, es geht nur um körperliche Anziehung und sie nennen sich schon "my love"? Ah ne das ist nicht mal gute Romance mitlerweile I'm sorry, werde aber den dritten Teil lesen, weils mich dann schon interessiert wie es endet. Teils sind die Übergänge zu den Kapiteln auch einfach nur so schlecht, sie wird gefangen genommen auf einem schiff, nächstes Kapitel direkt tage weiter und direkt die Konversation mit ihrem Vater- einfach zu schnell und lieblos hinheklatscht.
Reviewed by Vana HinkeIch bin voller Vorfreude in dieses Buch gestartet. Nachdem wir Band 1 beendet haben, wissen wir, dass sie auf der Flucht ist. Und bis fast zur Halfte des Buches, passiert auch nichts anderes. Sie ist auf der Flucht. Doch zum Ende hin wurde es doch noch spannend. Ein bisschen hat mich Verenas Unvorsichtigkeit genervt, weil sie ja bestens wusste, wer alles hinter ihr her war. Und das Ende war wieder ein fieser Cliffhanger, was einen motiviert, auch den nächsten Band zu lesen. ich bin gespannt, wie es mit dem dritten und letzten Band weitergehen wird.

First of all, there wasn't a single situation where she could help herself...no, she always had to be protected by the big, strong men, or she'd run away. I spent the entire book wondering if she would ever do one thing on her own. Spoiler: She did not. Yeah, it's safe to say, I didn't like her. In general, she was very hypocritical, always mad at everyone else, even though she wasn't any better herself. Does she ever think about anyone other than herself? Nope, little Princess left everyone behind to save her own ass. And the amount of times she tried to make Dacre jealous was ridiculous.
