Reviewed by Natália Oliveira<blockquote><b><i>“But we don’t think too well when we want too much.” </i></b></blockquote> This was such a sad, bittersweet little tale told as a bedtime story for Arin by his mom sometime before the Herrani war. It is also a kind of foreshadowing to the events of the Winner's Curse, as well as evolving some of the mythology of this world, what the Herrani were like before the war and what were their thoughts on the Venturian. A nice little addition to the trilogy.
