Während der erste Band einen relativ simplen Plot hatte, ( FMC erfährt, dass sie besonders ist und kämpft gegen das Böse ) geht es hier so richtig ab ! Wir lernen mehr über die Aliens und über die „Augen“ . Auch entwickelt sich Spensa hier weiter; Im ersten Teil liebt sie das Fliegen, weil sie so gegen die Krell kämpfen kann und ihre Heimat verteidigt, nun hat sie realisiert, dass hinter jedem fallenden Krieger ein Leben steckt wie ihres ( klingt vielleicht etwas kitschig, aber im Buch ist es schöner beschrieben). Während bei Skyward permanent neue Twists kamen und ich das Buch einfach nicht weglegen konnte, war das hier etwas weniger der Fall. So richtig hatte ich dieses Gefühl eher so im letzten Drittel. 5/5 ✨✨
