Say You'll Remember Me

By Abby Jimenez

Format:Hardcover

"Abby Jimenez has proven time and time again to be one of our must-read writers."―Cosmopolitan There might be no such a thing as a perfect guy, but Xavier Rush comes disastrously close. A gorgeous veterinarian giving Greek god vibes--all while cuddling a tiny kitten? Immediately yes. That is until Xavier opens his mouth and proves that even sculpted gods can say the absolute wrong thing. Like, really wrong. Of course, there's nothing Samantha loves more than proving an asshole wrong... . . . unless, of course, he can admit he made a mistake. But after one incredible and seemingly endless date--possibly the best in living history--Samantha is forced to admit the truth, that her family is in crisis and any kind of relationship would be impossible. Samantha begs Xavier to forget her. To remember their night together as a perfect moment, as crushing as that may be. Only no amount of distance or time is nearly enough to forget that something between them. And the only thing better than one single perfect memory is to make a life--and even a love--worth remembering.

Say You’ll Remember Me is one of those books that quietly breaks your heart and then gently puts it back together again. It’s not just a love story — it’s about memory, family, responsibility, and the kind of love that exists even in the middle of pain. The emotions feel very real, especially the parts about caregiving and watching someone slowly fade… those moments really stay with you. At the same time, it’s definitely heavier than I expected. The emotional weight is strong throughout, and sometimes the romance feels like it takes a step back while life’s realities take over. But maybe that’s what makes it feel so honest. It’s tender, emotional, and deeply moving — not an easy read, but a meaningful one that lingers long after the last page. 💛

3.5 stars. Usually I love all the books by Abby Jimenez. I liked the characters, though I didn’t feel like the felt fully fleshed out. The family part on Sam’s side was my favourite thing about this book. But How the story wrapped up felt way too easy, I don’t know if that should have been the way it should have gone. So all in all … a fun read!
