Reviewed by BenteThis book really was a fun read. I was quite curious if this book would meet my expectations because prior I only read Dark Romance from one particular author. The writing style was easy going and I had no problems to rush through the pages — which is always a good sign! Also the plot was interesting and the love triangle really intrigued me. Ella as an author and the Flynn Brothers as contract killers were an interesting combination that held some plottwists I really didn’t see coming! The only thing I struggled with, was to build up a strong connection to the protagonists. I sympathized with them, but emotionally I wasn’t as invested as I usually like to be. I definitely enjoyed the dynamics between Ella and Gable. Oftentimes, I really had to laugh about their fights and I loved the setting of the cabin in the wilderness a lot! Now that I started this series, I am definitely going to read the second book in the series about Ella’s dad, Loving Guy!
