Reviewed by Dani Dies ist das erste Buch dass ich bewusst abgebrochen habe. Nicht weil es per Se schlecht ist, sondern weil es ausreicht, ein paar Stunden damit zu verbringen. Ich respektiere Bourroughs unkonventionelle Stilistik, mit der er versucht aufzuzeigen wie sehr unsere Freiheit des Geistes geraubt wird. Durch das schaffen einer so unangenehmen Atmosphäre, verschafft er dem lesenden den Wunsch nach Kontrolle. Es ist zwar paradox dass er Kontrolle kritisiert und dennoch ein Werk schafft dass dieses Gefühl, also dem Wunsch nach Kontrolle, erzeugt. Aber genau dies macht es so brilliant. Nicht das lesen selbst macht es zu einem besonderen Erlebnis, sondern das danach. Das was in einem entsteht.
