Reviewed by Ruben || ZeileninhalatorMein erster Read des Jahres und dabei nicht mal ein Guter… die drei Kurzgeschichten meandern um Fabelgleiche Stories, die gesellschaftliche Probleme ansprechen, oder in einer Form unterhaltend sein wollen..leider sind sie es nicht und der Schreibstil dazu recht trocken und nicht direkt präzise. Leider eine Enttäuschung.
Reviewed by miayeah no. the first two stories were good but then it just got worse. i liked how in the first story the guy lost everything, he just lost and lost and lost and then through coincidence he kinda regains everything, or he gets to the same point where he was in the beginning. i thought the second story was quite amusing. the woman left her husband, which she didn’t want to marry in the first place, for another man, basically because he fucks her and her husband did not. i can’t blame her. the third kinda weirded me out, i don’t know. the whole story is about how a priest sleeps with women when their husbands are out of town. then he really starts „liking“ this woman (he just wants to sleep with her) and tricks her into sleeping with him?? he also stalks her?? and the last one just made me want to throw the book against the wall. its not even worth talking about it. its just MEN. boccaccio‘s writing style is really easy to read and understand but i honestly don’t know if i want to read anything else by him.
