Reviewed by RaymondThis book is an atmospheric thriller regarding the main character, reclusive British crime author Nora Shaw, who has been invited to former friends, Clare Cavendish, Hen party. Nora hasn't seen Clare since high school. Her curiosity gets the better of her, and she shortly finds herself in Northumberland in a house set deep in the woods. There's no cell-phone service, the hostess, Flo, is obsessive about Clare and Clare drops a bombshell by admitting who she is about to marry and this all takes place before Nora ends up in the hospital with serious injuries and missing memories.
