okay so wtf? harrow the ninth was honestly an experience. i must say, coming from gideon the ninth, the change from third to second person threw me off at the beginning, as i’ve never read a book from that perspective before. i quickly got used to that though (also: tamsyn muir is so smart and that was such an interesting way to tell the story). if i’m being honest, i had completely different expectations for the plot going into the book and was a little disappointed when it turned out to be…nothing like what i expected? but at the same time even better than what i could’ve thought of? i am glad that i stuck with it, as tamsyn muirs writing and world building is simply amazing. harrow the ninth is a really well written book with action filled plot and a lot of „wtf“-moments. even though i enjoyed gideon the ninth more, it’s definitely a worthy sequel and i’m very certain that i’ll be picking up nona and alecto (when it comes out) in the future too! ☠️🪐⚔️
