Before picking up this one, i didn't expect it to turn out so well! I've heard and read all these bad critics about Zoe being a Youtuber and creating a FF about herself (which she certainly did not) and ghostwriting this novel. But I disagree with the critics, because I enjoyed this book and read it in three sittings. It's nothing original, but it sure is an exciting and fun and lovly story and I wouldn't have thought I'd actually look forward for reading the second book!

It's a cute book for a light read. I think it's one of those books that accurately captures an awkward teenage girl's feelings and crushes or assumptions. It doesn't play up the drama too much because it refuses to focus on that unlike other teenage books. The book was written simply like an average person talking, telling a normal story. It veered away from using too much jargon or so which was a nice change. I think it was real enough for me.

Ok. Dieses Buch hat 5 Monate gebraucht um von mir gelesen zu werden. Ich mag Zoella als Youtuberin, aber dieses Buch war einfach zu langatmig. Vielleicht liegt es daran, dass ich es auf Englisch gelesen habe und mich generell erst rein lesen muss, aber ... ach ich weiß auch nicht. Es war nett und am Ende auch leicht überraschend. Mehr auch nicht, leider.
