Reviewed by FabiFirst things first: Im gesamten Buch kommt nicht ein einziger Wolf vor! 🐺 Allein dafür schon nen Punkt Abzug... For the Wolf hatte richtig viel Potenzial, aber hat es teilweise nicht so recht ausgeschöpft. Die Atmosphäre des Wilderwoods und die gesamte Mythologie haben mir eigentlich super gut gefallen, an manchen Stellen hat sich die Autorin aber zu sehr in Beschreibungen verloren. Der Plot ist gut, wenn auch nicht bahnbrechend neu. Mein größtes Manko sind aber wahrscheinlich die Figuren und deren Beziehungen. Insbesondere Red und Eammon. Red wird als aufmüpfig, rebellisch und willensstark eingeführt. Letztlich muss sie dann aber ständig gerettet werden und ist mir insgesamt zu passiv in der Story. Eammon ist meiner Meinung nach eine romantisierte Red Flag mit Beschützer Komplex. Er ist die ganze Zeig grummelig und teilweise übergriffig, wenn er z.B. (gegen ihren Willen) Reds Wunden heilt. Ich checke, dass es zwischen den beiden knistert und gleichzeitig frage ich mich beim Lesen die ganze Zeit: warum eigentlich? Insgesamt war es kurzweilig und ganz unterhaltsam, daher wird Teil zwei auch noch gelesen. 🩷💜
