Reviewed by JuliaThis is the strangest book about sexuality, unconventionalism and being a misfit I’ve ever read. But beware it comes with a lot of trigger warnings. The books fuel is the childhood trauma of sexual abuse. But how the author uses this horror to tell a story about people who reject the “normal” way of life, who don’t reproduce, don’t yield to the pressure of society but instead become something else: Papapians! And be warned again: the last part is tremendously overwhelming.
