In German. Courtney Crumrin is not a happy camper. Their parents have lived through their circumstances for years and have finally found a solution to their financial difficulties. They move into the suburbs to their rich uncle, Professor Aloysius Crumrin. The large Victorian villa of the old Crumrin is nestled in the prosperous neighborhood of Hillsborough. However, Courtney must soon find that Uncle Aloysius has an eerie reputation throughout the district, and surrounds him and his house with dark stories. And while this new arrangement allows her parents finally the desired social rise, Courtney feels as if she has landed in a nightmare. Courtney Crumrin ist kein glücklicher Camper. Jedoch muss Courtney bald feststellen, dass Onkel Aloysius einen unheimlichen Ruf im ganzen Stadtteil hat und ihn und sein Haus dunkle Geschichten umgeben. Und während dieses neue Arrangement ihren Eltern endlich den erwünschten sozialen Aufstieg erlaubt, fühlt sich Courtney, als wäre sie in einem Alptraum gelandet.
