More Simon&Baz please! 😍😍😍😍😍

I knew that this book was heavily influenced and inspired by the Harry Potter universe and characters (I knew it was some kind of Harry Potter fan fiction or something) which actually deterred me from buying it immediately since I've never been a big fan of the Harry Potter universe. But I still gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised. The story was nothing new; it's about the chosen-one Simon, who has to fight the evil and safe the whole world - basically the ordinary 'Chosen-One' Trope. It was okay. What surprised me the most though, were the two main characters Simon and Baz. I actually enjoyed their dynamic and relationship, especially later on. It's kind of the typical 'enemies to lovers' trope (which .. I have to admit, is one of my weaknesses when it's tastefully and believably written, figures) and I just wish we could get more of that. Honestly, those two together didn't get enough screen time, in my opinion. Okay, yes I know, there is a story that has to be told, too but ... I was here for Simon and Baz the entire time. It was my incentive to keep on reading (because let's be real here.. we all already know the 'Chosen-One' stories and how those end.). If it weren't for these two I'd have never continued reading this one. Unfortunately I wasn't captivated by the other characters which is why I was so annoyed by all those diffrent POV's. It's only ONE single book but it already contains so many POV's ...just like a full trilogy. Definitely my least favorite way of story telling. It was an okay read but it didn't left a lasting impression. Just not my type of book. But I liked the two male protagonists and the sweet relationship between them.
