Reviewed by JoanneOverall I enjoyed the book and felt quite entertained most of the time, though I did feel a bit bored at times. I didn’t realize I was diving into a murder mystery story when I started reading, which I didn’t mind, but for a murder mystery I found it occasionally lacking in thrill. The mystery and romance elements didn’t stand out as much as they could have. What I really liked was the way death was described as a person and how the theme of death was handled in general. However, the distinction between death as Sylas combined with the murder mystery aspect, sometimes felt a bit too much to fully immerse in the story
