Reviewed by kenThis book is seriously not even remotely close to being geared towards children. Or perhaps that's just me, because I've been insanely attached to the characters in the Artemis Fowl series since it started. This is what got me to like soft science fiction mixed with fantasy, because the balance is so well done. But to even begin to describe how I felt throughout the reading of this book is going to be a bit tough. I held off on reading it for almost a year because I didn't want it to end. So I finally read it today. Long story short, I was mildly disappointed by the ending, but loved the fact that Opal Koboi was the ultimate villain. Otherwise, Artemis Fowl and his friends are going to forever remain as my favourite band of world saviours, for both the People and the humans.
