Across from an old brewery in a German city, a man and three women lead lives of isolation. Although they harm no one and mind their own business, Nazi officers see them as undocumented nomads who deserve to be punished. This tragic story shows the arbitrary nature of the Nazi regime and depicts a time of uncertainty, fear, fanaticism, and cruelty—while at the same time underscoring the beauty of life. Justo enfrente de una vieja cervecería, El Danubio Azul, Anton y tres mujeres viven solos en una isla aislada.
