3 ⭐ from me - mostly because it took me a really long time to get properly into it. It definitely was a good book! Don’t get me wrong. I like it end especially towards the final part I got really into it. But in the beginning I wasn’t really feeling it. Of course everything is my opinion and I know there are a lot of people who will view this differently. The story between Mina and Emmitt was cute - no complaints there. What felt quite rushed and sudden to me was the whole „she’s so selfish“ part which then took her about what felt like 10 minutes to realise everyone was right and she had been all wrong about wanting to go to Cali. Like I do like the thought behind it but her process of realising where her home is felt a little rushed considering this wasn’t a 100 page book so she would have time to figure it out properly. Overall I still enjoyed it once I got the hang of it.
