Reviewed by Joana🫧 I was hoping #AKingdomofBloodandBetrayal would improve on some of the things I struggled with in the first book… and while there were a few aspects I enjoyed more, it unfortunately still wasn’t the romantasy I was looking for😅 I mean… I can see the potential in the story, but I was left wanting much more depth and originality. One thing I can definitely say is that this series is easy to read😂 Even tho I still continued to struggle with the writing style, it does flow quickly, making this sequel a fast read🙌🏼 I also found myself liking the characters a little (but really just a very very very small little) more this time around😬 This said, I still think that their overall development and execution could have been much stronger lol Ohh and the cover is also kinds cute📚 Unfortunately, many of the same issues I had with the first book were still present🤡 The biggest one was definitely the dialogue. I swear I read “You’re my mate” and “You’re mine” every few pages😭 Those lines felt so damn repetitive - they completely lost their impact. Everybody understood the bond between the characters very early on, so constantly repeating it just SU*KED🤬 The spice also didn’t work for me🙅🏽♀️ There was simply TOOOO MUCH of it, and instead of adding tension or emotional depth, it often interrupted the story👎🏼 I also wasn’t a fan of how the scenes were written - they felt overly aggressive and didn’t really fit what I wanted from the romance🫣 Not a memorable book, and certainly not a recommendable one, sorry not sorry🤝🏽 . . . . Rating : 2,5⭐️ Spice : 4🌶️ Recommendation : ❌
