Reviewed by LisaHmm, habe dieses Buch gelesen, weil ich großer Fan von Feen Geschichten bin und the cruel prince eins meiner Lieblingsbücher ist. Da schien Acotar als eine notwendige Ergänzung. Aber es hat mich nicht gehooked. Obwohl ganz viel Wert darauf gelegt wird bereits am Anfang zu zeigen, wie selbstständig doch die Protagonistin ist, schafft sie eigentlich keine einzige Herausforderung alleine, sondern sie wird klassisch nach Damsel in Distress stets gerettet. Hat bei mir dazu geführt, dass ich am Ende nur noch mit den Augen gerollt habe, wenn sie eine Herausforderung lösen musst, weil ich ja wusste, dass jemand sie rettet. Spannung gleich null. Die Story ist auch ziemlich vorhersehbar und ein bisschen holprig geschrieben. Man wusste immer wann etwas für später vorbereitet wurde, da es sich nie wirklich sauber in aktuelle Szene eingefügt hat. Alles in allem kann man es als Zeitvertreib durchaus lesen, aber mMn ist der Hype um das Buch höher als es verdient hat.
