Rezension von Raphaela Alex Easton kehrt nach den kürzlich durchlebten Alpträumen zurück ins Heimatland in die ehemalige Jagdhütte der Familie. Doch auch dort wartet etwas Dunkles. Der Landverwalter ist unter seltsamen Umständen verstorben und niemand im Dorf will darüber reden oder auch nur einen Fuß auf das Gelände setzen, um Alex und die Gäste zu unterstützen. Doch jeder spürt, dass etwas nicht stimm und dass das, was auch immer den Verwalter getötet hat, noch nicht fort ist. Auf T. Kingfisher ist eben Verlass. Slowburn Grusel mit einem immer noch wundervollen Hauptcharakter und einer interessanten Neuinterpreatation eines klassischen Monsters.
