Rezension von JenniBitte, bitte, bitte lest die Triggerwarnung, solltet ihr welche haben, denn diese Romance war keineswegs leichte Kost. Vielmehr ist dieses Buch gespickt mit Themen, die wie Steine im Bauch liegen bleiben. Beide Charaktere navigieren auf sich selbst gestellt sowie zusammen durch psychische Einschränkungen, Traumata, toxische Beziehungen und toxisches Verhalten. Ich hatte wirklich nicht erwartet, in welcher Intensität ich als Lesende mit all dem konfrontiert werde und war überrascht, was Stück für Stück enthüllt wurde. Die Autorin hat hiermit eine Geschichte geschrieben, von der ich überzeugt bin, dass sie so oder so ähnlich Realität von realen Personen ist und das lässt mir mein Herz bluten. Bennett’s und Paloma‘s war genauso herzzerreißend wie herzerwärmend. Auch wenn sich der Plot im Mittelteil zu sehr gezogen hatte, habe ich nie aufgehört mit beiden zu leiden, für beide auf das Gute zu hoffen und sie anzufeuern, sobald sie sich von toxischen Beziehungen, Verhaltensweisen und Umgebungen lösen konnten. 🙏
