Rezension von Caroll-Ann📖 True Crime Story by Jospeh Knox ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 4,5 stars This story follows Zoe, a 19-year-old girl who leaves a party one night and is never seen again. Writer Evelyn Mitchell becomes fascinated by the case and decides to investigate Zoe’s mysterious disappearance. Before I say anything else, I have to remind everyone that this book is a work of fiction. While reading, I often forgot that it wasn’t based on a real case because it felt so authentic. It was like following a true crime investigation firsthand and accompanying Evelyn throughout her search for answers. The novel is written in an interview-style format, similar to Daisy Jones & The Six. If you enjoyed that narrative style, I think you’ll appreciate this book as well. The storytelling was so convincing that, after finishing the book, I actually found myself searching for Zoe online, forgetting for a moment that she wasn’t a real person. I couldn’t put the book down, I was completely invested and needed to know how the story would end. Thankfully, the conclusion did not disappoint. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good crime novel, especially readers who are interested in true crime. It captures the atmosphere and suspense of a real case remarkably well. I’m very glad I picked it up and can highly recommend it.
