Rezension von Franziska GieseckePainterly is the only way I can describe Woolf's writing. Very painterly. It reads like an impressionist painting: vague, slowly but constantly moving. For my taste it was a bit too slow and I lost track a few times. Nevertheless it was and stayed a revolutionary piece of literature.
