Rezension von Raphaela Hoch oben in einem Turm hinter einer undurchdringlichen Hecke aus gewaltigen Dornen schläft die Tochter eines Königs seit Jahrhunderten. Das Wesen, das sie einst verzauberte hält Wacht an der Hecke, damit niemand zu der Schlafenden durchdringt, doch eines Tages kommt ein Ritter, der entschlossener als alle zuvor sind, den Fluch zu brechen. Eine Geschichte, die jeder zu kennen glaubt und doch ist alles ganz anders, als es scheint. Unterhaltsame Neuinterpretation des Dornröschen Märchens, das vor allem von seinem Erzählton her zu überzeugen weiß. Ruhig, märchenhaft, ja sicher, Kingfisher erfindet das Genre nicht neu und es ist auch mit nichten ihres bestes Werk, aber es ist schöne, kurzweilige Unterhaltung.
Rezension von James LückIt's alright, expected it to be more darker like some of their other books. But I enjoyed it, no real unforseen twists tho.
