Rezension von LiaHabe das Buch nur wegen des hübschen Covers gekauft und es nicht bereut! 💘 Eigentlich hatte ich schon ein anderes Buch angefangen zu lesen aber nachdem ich die ersten paar Seiten von "The Wraith King" gelesen habe, habe ich es direkt weitergelesen und innerhalb weniger Tage auch durchgelesen weil die Story einfach so schön war. Was mir sehr gefallen hat ist, dass obwohl das Setting und die forced/arranged Marriage eher düstere Voraussetzungen waren, Goll aufrichtig und gut zu Una war und er nicht wie ich befürchtet hatte als typischer "bad boy" (der sie tyrannisiert) dargestellt wurde. Zu lesen, wie die beiden miteinander umgehen und sich ineinander verlieben (was evtl. etwas zu schnell ging) hat mir sehr gut gefallen - auch, dass Goll teilweise besitzergreifend war; ohne, dass es zu viel oder unangenehm war. Dass Una nicht nur sein hilfloses Anhängsel war sondern ihr eigenes Ziel verfolgt hat fand ich hat die Story auch aufgewertet. Der Plot war auch schlüssig und nichts von dem, was beschrieben wurde, war unnötig oder wurde nicht aufgeklärt, sondern alles hatte seinen Zweck in der Geschichte. Es kam leider ein Fehler in Buch vor, auf einer Seite hat eine Zeile gefehlt - die wurde wohl leider nicht abgedruckt. PS: Habe das Buch auch zum richtigen Zeitpunkt gelesen, was auch zur 5-Sterne Bewertung beigetragen hat, denn ich hatte richtig Lust auf so eine Geschichte. Ich bin gespannt auf den Zweiten Teil - befürchte aber, dass dieser den Ersten nicht toppen kann.
