Rezension von RaymondI received a book to review from the author himself in return for an honest and fair review. Merlin: The Lost Years is a really enjoyable fantasy adventure that gives us a different look at Merlin before he became the legendary wizard we know. I liked seeing Merlin as a young character who is still trying to understand himself, his abilities, and his place in the world. The story has plenty of magic, mystery, strange creatures, and adventure, and T. A. Barron does a good job creating a fascinating world around him. Some parts felt a little slow, but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the sense of discovering Merlin’s past. It feels like a classic fantasy story with plenty of Arthurian legend woven into it. Overall, a fun and imaginative read, especially if you enjoy Merlin, Arthurian legends, and traditional fantasy.
