Rezension von SanFand das Cover toll, daher hab ich's hauptsächlich deswegen ausgewählt - aber der Plot ist ja auch mal mega toll! Hab ich absolut nicht mit gerechnet. Umiko ist eine 65-jährige Rentnerin, die um ihren verstorbenen Ehemann trauert. Eher durch Zufall landet sie im Kino und trifft dort auf den Filmstudenten Kai. Ohne richtig darüber nachzudenken, bittet sie ihn darum, sich ihren Videorecorder anzusehen, da dieser nicht mehr richtig funktioniert. Erst Zuhause bemerkt sie, dass Kai ein Junge ist - da er sehr androgyn wirkt und sie seinen Namen bis dahin nicht kannte, ging sie davon aus, dass er eine Frau wäre. Zusammen sehen sie sich dann einen Film an - wobei sie eher ihn dabei beobachten, da sie das schon in jungen Jahren gerne gemacht hat: anderen dabei zuzusehen, wie sie auf den Film reagieren. Durch gewisse Umstände landet Umiko später in der Universität von Kai und studiert Film… Anfangs klingt das ganze eher noch etwas “zu ruhig” - aber nach wenigen Seiten hat mich das ganze sehr in den Bann gezogen. Denn es geht um so viel mehr, als nur um das Studienleben und Filme zu machen. "Bereust du etwas in deinem Leben?” - spätestens an dieser Stelle hatte mich der Manga. Die Atmosphäre und Emotionen werden in dem tollen und detailreichen Artwork super eingefangen und wiedergegeben. Love it! Hoffe ja insgeheim auch, dass es dir Lizenz irgendwann auch nach Deutschland schafft 🥹
