Oh god. I was going into that book with really high expectatations but sadly that book was just not it. First of all I saw that there are people who comment under bad reviews of that book that the person writing this review is wrong and/or didnt understand the book. Or when they didnt finish it they are not allowed to say what they disliked. I did infact read the whole book so i would appreciate no comments like that because i can decide for myself what I like and what I dont like. Thank you. So on to my review. So here are some points why I wouldnt recommend this book at all. 1) I just cant stand behind sayings like trauma and depression arent real and its just imagination. That is just rude to say. To say that people who have depression or are suffering from trauma are choosing that by free will to achieve something is not right. I dont think anyone is waking up saying "Oh yeah depression sounds nice. Let me have it now!". I was really disgusted and shocked by these inappropriate statements. 2) Saying that bad relations at work or anywhere else are our own free will as well is also something I am not a fan of. If I am in such a shitty situation I am definetly not choosing that for myself and people behaving bad towards me is not something I search for in life. There are people that live for the drama but that is not everyone 3) Everything in this book was generalised. But that is not the case always. You cant say one situation will be the same for everyone! 4) The philosopher was absolutely unbearable. He wanted a discussion but didnt accept other points than his own. He was allowed to say something against his discussion partner all the time. But as soon as the Youth (His discussion partner) said that his points werent convincing and tried to give arguments to why he thought like that the philosopher just said things like "No, I will not acknowledge that!" or "You are wrong!". He even got pretty sassy at some points. I couldnt take him seriously anymore at that point. So everytime he explained something I was just rolling my eyes! 5) The philsopher, yes him again, couldnt answer questions. The Youth was asking out of interest and the philosopher answered a completly different question. I was getting tired listening to him. If someone asks you something because they want to learn, why cant you just answer normally. I was getting a feeling that the questions were to hard for him and he didnt know how to answer! 6) THE END! Yes the end. The Youth switches his positions so fast. It is like a 180 degree turn in a span of a second. In one second he is shouting at the philosopher and telling him that this psychology is "absurd" and "nonsense", but in the next second he is praising the philosopher and agrees on every single point. That was incomprehensible. It was too fast. I couldnt understand this unlogically reaction and it didnt help me to change sides. I was just super confused where the sudden change of heart came from.. So yeah definetly do not recommend. And I am sorry for my own time. I am happy for everyone that liked it but for me that was just a bunch of nonsense!
