Rezension von SasTarot und Dark Akademia. Perfect match. Meine große Leidenschaft und eines meiner lieblings Genres kombiniert, dass musste einfach großartig werden, oder? Nunja. Gut, aber nicht großartig. Die Geschichte ist durchaus spannend und die Art wie Tarot hier verwendet wurde, finde ich sehr spannend. Auch wenn es für mich als Tarotist etwas seltsam war, wie mysteriös und unheimlich der Umgang mit dem Tarot am Anfang von der Protagonistin geschildert wird, das ändert sich aber zum Glück. Für Menschen, für die Tarot und Esoterik fremd sind, ist es vielleicht tatsächlich so, ich fand es etwas albern. Die Charaktere finde ich alle etwas schwierig, but not in a good way. Sie haben keine echte Tiefe und sind höchstens oberflächlich gesehen vielschichtig. Gerade die Charaktertiefe macht für mich allerdings Dark Akademia aus. Die Tiefe, die menschlichen Abgründe. Das bleibt mir alles etwas zu sehr an der Oberfläche. Ich bin auch mit keinem der Charaktere wirklich warm geworden. Auch mit der Protagonistin konnte ich wenig anfangen. Das klingt alles sehr negativ, aber insgesamt war es ein guter Krimi. Es gab spannende Momente und gute Wendungen. Es hat definitiv Spaß gemacht The Cloisters zu lesen. Es gehört aber leider nicht zu den Büchern, die ich unbedingt nochmal lesen möchte. (Ich habe irgendwo gelesen, dass manche es als eine Art neues "Die geheime Geschichte" vermarkten, aber nein, tut mir leid, das ist es definitiv nicht, auch wenn ich mir das gewünscht hätte. Dieses Buch hat aber bei weitem nicht die Vielschichtigkeit und Tiefe und auch nicht das erzählerische Niveau.)
