Rezension von Liyah📚2.5⭐️ okay so this wasn’t necessarily worse than the first book, but I feel like we kinda lost the plot on the way here. It also much like the first one, gave Wattpad story vibes icl. I don’t have anything good to say tbh, the only thing would be that we finally got the character development for the FMC I was hoping for (very sudden and not extremely well written, but story wise necessary and well placed), and the writing style improved a bit there. The thing I absolutely hated was, that the first half of this book was suddenly filled with so much backhanded misogyny- stuff like: “oh god, I’m such a girl..” “i’m a man after all” “as a man…” “I’m not a pussy” “for a woman she isn’t half bad” “…I fight like a little girl” “chicks” “female” “women.” The only thing missing would’ve been the coffee mug emoji behind it. Istg I don’t know what happened but the amount of those comments was actually insane and suddenly increased tenfold. Every other page had at least a hand full of those in it, and I wish I was exaggerating rn. So much internalized misogyny it actually hurt to read it at some point. Thankfully it only held on till like half the book but still. So besides all that I actually did like the FMCs character development and Jase/Nikkis side story a lot. Would’ve loved to see more of that and how it turned out. In general I believe there were many plot holes near the end, or just stuff that was mentioned and never brought up again (which I can’t stand), as well as maybe two logic mistakes that I can recall right now. But I loved the bonus Scene. Kinda summed the bit of a plot up that we got. Idk why I read it. Kinda like the first one, it’s not really bad but I just don’t see myself recommending this to anyone. Ever.
