Rezension von HazemIt‘s such a humble story and such a relatable one about a person, Phil Knight, who kind of had no idea what he was doing or what he was building but he had one thing, passion. He had his school coach beside him who later became the heart of Nike, and other people like Woodell who was a runner but had to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. After a referral from his coach, Phil took him at the beginning since Woodell was doing nothing at home and Phil needed a fourth hand with some stuff. Well, Woodell contributed to the success of this project like no other. You get to read about great people like woodell, who could be in their essence just like me and you. Imagine the people behind Nike had actually no idea about marketing, branding, designs, expansion yet were able to build the most influential company in the world? How? I want to leave that part for you to figure out. But I can tell you it‘s a story of passion, faith, chaos, trials, imperfections and many errors. It’s a story about following the dream, the calling, regardless of the ressources and the circumstances. Whatever you do in life, if you are someone who have the courage to dream big and have a vision about where you wanna be in life that’s rooted deep in your heart, pick that book up. It will give a unqiue perspective about success and life. The last 20-30 pages were so heavy, inspirational and so moving. The ending is just gold. The story telling is amazing. It’s 10/10. Now I know why I loved Nike when I was young and why the shoes made me feel special on the basketball and the tennis court.
