"Lady Charity Rutherford accepted a dare to steal back romantic letters that had the power to compromise a friend. But the last thing she expected was to encounter a mysterious gentleman doing the same job. Worse, that person was the very proper and far too handsome Earl of Ralston. Ethan Hawkins knew Lady Charity was trouble, the moment he set eyes on her. The kind of trouble that kept him awake late at night with dreams of ravishing her, that resulted in breaking into houses and chasing lightning during a thunderstorm. She was too daring and unconventional for him to even consider making her his countess, yet during each moment spent with the sweet hellion, he becomes convinced they just might be perfect for each other. Until she asks for something he cannot give, and he realizes he must reveal his heart to Charity . . . or risk losing her forever." --Back cover.
