Rezension von Raphaela Offiziell heißt die Fernstraße R504 Kolyma und verbindet russische Verwaltungsregion Magadan mit Jakutsk. Doch aufgrund ihrer grausamen Entstehungsgeschichte, ist die 1826km Strecke vor allem unter einem anderen Namen bekannt, Road of Bones. Ein Buch mit einer tollen Atmosphäre, ein Setting, bei dem man eigentlich nicht mal einen Antagonisten bräuchte, weil schon das Umfeld so brutal und feindlich ist, dass ein abgewürgter Motor den sicheren Tod bedeuten kann. Gut gezeichnete Charaktere und hohes Erzähltempo runden die ganze Sache ab. Ich liebe Geschichten, in denen man sich auch mal aus den Gruselgeschichten anderer Kulturkreise bedient und nicht nur immer die üblichen Verdächtigen abarbeitet. Das Finale zieht sich für meinen Geschmack etwas, aber das ist zu verschmerzen.
