Rezension von EsaEveryone sounds a bit like the same pissed off girl in a bad situation and the emotional textures sometimes get lost in all the chaos. But then a story like La Negra hits and you remember exactly what De la Cerda is doing, narrating from beyond the grave, a femicide victim explains her own death like it’s an ordinary part of girlhood. Because from them, it is.
Rezension von Lena SchalentierEin Buch voller Wut und Gewalt und Wut über die Gewalt. 13 mexikanische Erzähler*innen berichten über ihr Leben und wie sie von der Gesellschaft zu Opfern und Täterinnen gemacht werden. Nicht jede Perspektive hat mich abgeholt, aber das letzte Kapitel ist fast ein politisches Manifest und hat nochmal richtig reingehauen.
