Zuletzt erhielt sie den Christine-Lavant-Preis sowie den Großen Preis des Deutschen Literaturfonds für ihr Gesamtwerk. Nach verschiedenen internationalen Gastdozenturen und Poetikvorlesungen ist sie seit 2018 Professorin am Deutschen Literaturinstitut Leipzig. Sie ist Mitglied der Akademie der Künste Berlin, des PEN Berlin und der Deutschen Akademie für Sprache und Dichtung. Draesner lebt mit ihrer Tochter in Berlin.

Rezension von Luna<b>Hola. Espero que alguien esté escuchando…</b> Es una obra de arte, creo que todo lo que Alice escribe es una obra de arte. Es tan atrapante como todos sus libros, pero creo que no es de mis favoritos de ella. Algunas partes de la historia me dio la impresión de que estaban inconclusas, y dejaban cosas al aire. Pero después de eso me gusta bastante, me encantó que se aclarara desde un principio que Francés y Aled solo tendrían una amistad. <b>Probablemente penséis que Aled Last y yo vamos a enamorarnos el uno del otro o algo así. Dado que él es un chico y yo una chica. Solo quería decir… Que no. Eso es todo.</b> La verdad lo volvería a leer, estoy enamorada de Aled como personaje. Y me encanta que dejen muy en claro que el "no ir a la universidad" no te define como persona. Me encanta el arte de este libro.
Rezension von fritziI feel like I am supposed to say something about this book, because SO MANY FEELINGS. But before I start I will put the trigger warnings this book contains in this review, because they can't be find in the book and I didn't specifically look for them. So I started to read this book, thinking I'll get some cute romance and friendship book and ended up havinge some really dark thoughts. Please read them and think about if you can handle all of this, before you buy the book and start reading.
Rezension von GabrieleIs the book abridged? No, it is not. Then the author probably published or had to publish the book a bit too quickly (sometimes you're stuck in such a gag contract). Good thoughts, good ideas, but somehow the whole plot doesn't seem to be properly fleshed out and the main characters are unfortunately not fully fleshed out. Too bad, it definitely has potential. What I liked is how Aysha Kala reads the audiobook. Pleasantly unagitated, the voice is not childish, but still I did not have the feeling that an adult woman is speaking. Even those actually ridiculous passages where the voice is pitched/alienated weren't quite as silly because of Aysha Kala's good voice. Maybe I'd be interested in the podcast story as a seperat book. However, I would have found it too much to tell it in this book in addition to the main story.
