Rezension von NatalieAlso an sich fand ich das Setting und alles sehr cool. Das mit den Karten ist mal was ganz anderes. Find ich gut gemacht. Und der Anfang war auch echt spannend! Ich fand leider nur, dass es sich dann etwas gezogen hat. Es wurde plötzlich alles recht vorhersehbar. Die Love-Story und die Suche nach den Karten war bisschen zäh. Auch das Motiv, dass "nur" Emory gerettet werden soll und deshalb der ganze Verrat passiert, fand ich etwas schwach. Auch, dass ihr Vater ihr plötzlich einfach so die Karte gibt, nach der sie die ganze Zeit suchen... Hm. Das Ende war jetzt dann doch überraschend. Bin gespannt, wie das in Teil 2 umgesetzt wird, dass sie jetzt der Nachtmahr ist. Also 4/5 Sterne sinds trotzdem.

Rezension von R.‘I did not expect it to be a 5 Star read literally. At first I was Like 3sat but then the sorry got way more interesting like everything clicked. Even tho the book ended in a cliffhanger. Like the whole story clicked. And omg ravyn and elspeth 🥹. Cute. I’m just very excited to read the second book. I took my time with the first book because I was on a class trip for a whole week so I couldn’t finish it. But I finished it today. Oh and at first it was so hard to follow. Overall 5 ⭐️
Rezension von LaraIch hab ein wenig gebraucht um meinen Lesefluss zu finden aber es wurde immer besser und zum Ende hin konnte ich das Buch nicht mehr weg legen. Eine wirklich unglaublich ausgedachte Geschichte
Rezension von SandyDas Buch lag lange auf meinem SuB und ich bin froh, es endlich gelesen zu haben. Besonders spannend fand ich das originelle Magiesystem rund um die Karten sowie Elspeths Geheimnis, das der Geschichte eine düstere Atmosphäre verleiht. Der Einstieg fiel mir durch die vielen Figuren, Verwandtschaftsverhältnisse und Regeln der Welt zunächst etwas schwer, wurde mit der Zeit aber deutlich flüssiger. Elspeth und Ravyn waren mir sympathisch und besonders gegen Ende zog die Spannung spürbar an. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung für alle, die im Fantasybereich mal etwas Neues suchen – ich freue mich auf Band 2.
