4.5 ★ What an absolute heartbreaking story. I read the book for the second time and still found it just as touching. An incredibly strong family relationship and a great love that you can see between Guido, his wife and their son. The principle of the play is so creative and is on one hand beautiful as a terrible time is embellished, and at the same time incredibly sad as the hard truth is strongly recognizable. I read it in Italian and it was quite understandable and written in a clear way. The vocabulary is not too broad and since there is a lot of dialogue, it's a quick and smooth read. You have to watch the film too!
