this story has such a special place in my heart. mainly because i’ve never seen myself represented that much in a story before. things i loved: lark is neurodivergent and doesn’t have a label, they could be on the autistic spectrum or have ADHD or both. so much trans* rep. very diverse cast with a bunch of black queer teens. in general just very relatable, authentic characters. the writing classes and the short extracts, takes up a lot of space and i loved every second of it. polyamory. the execution of the storyline though felt a bit weak and there were some parts where i wasn’t really engaged. overall this was just an eye-opening and thought-provoking read.
