Rezension von JuPiEine ungewöhnliche Story und eine sympathische Hauptfigur. Das setting im universitären Amerika gefällt mir auch immer gut. Hat mir als Sommerbuch sehr gut gefallen.
Rezension von Die LesezauberinEin Paket ohne Rücksendeadresse und eine junge Frau namens Jane. Aber was befindet sich in diesem mysteriösen Paket? Ein Manuskript, natürlich. Aber es handelt sich nicht um ein gewöhnliches Manuskript, sondern um einen detaillierten Bericht über die Lebensgeschichte von Jane. Aber wer sonst kennt ihr Leben so genau wie sie? Das Buch spielt in zwei Zeitebenen. Die Vergangenheit des Manuskripts und die Erzählung in der Gegenwart. Da sich die Handlung in diesen beiden Zeiten abspielt, wird sie häufig unterbrochen. Auf diese Weise fordert der Autor uns auf, ein Profil der Protagonistin zu erstellen. Jane ist eine kokette Figur mit wenig Einfühlungsvermögen. Ich sollte hinzufügen, dass Jane eine Professorin für französische Literatur ist. Die Geschichte spielt zwischen 1991 und 2000 und ist professionell redigiert und erzählt. Allerdings muss ich zugeben, dass Jane eine schwer zu verstehende Figur ist. Ihre Verlustangst, gepaart mit emotionaler Verletzlichkeit wie Bindungslosigkeit und selbstzerstörerischem Verhalten, ist manchmal extrem frustrierend und belastend. Aber es war trotzdem eine gute und spannende Lektüre. Ich möchte mich beim Verlag bedanken, dass ich die Möglichkeit hatte, dieses Buch zu lesen und eine ehrliche Rezension zu schreiben.
