Rezension von SalomeDas Buch ist eindeutig noch heute wichtig für die klare Benennung von Ungerechtigkeit verschiedener Art. Rassismus und Klassizismus einer anderen Zeit greifbar und verständlich gemacht. Dennoch (vllt weil es sich so wenig Zeit lässt) aus heutiger Sicht auch viel Unverständlichkeit - in Namen und gegenseitigem nennen, Orten, Musik und co steckt sicher so viel mehr drin als ich aus meiner heutigen fremden Sicht verstehen kann.
Rezension von pechseeGroßartiges Buch und im Kern eins über etwas besonderes: bedingungslose Liebe. Nicht unbedingt ausschließlich der romantischen Art, sondern eben jeder Art. Über Familien und Liebende, die alles füreinander tun und ein rassistisches System, das ihnen eben auch nichts anderes übrig lässt. Ein tolles Ende, das einerseits die Hoffnung auf Hoffnung ermöglicht, andererseits Raum für den worst case schafft. Einziges Manko für mich: Der Anfang hat sich ein wenig gezogen, dass ich mich wirklich pushen musste. Aber ab Seite 60 oä alles toll!
