Rezension von Raphaela Der Autor füllt den Großteil des Buchs damit, die Geschichen der bestbekannten Cryptiden nachzuerzählen und zu erklären, warum man den Zeugen nicht glaubten sollte/kann und immer wieder seine persönliche Abneigung für Kryptozoologen, die Monster suchen, zum Ausdruck zu bringen. Hätte sich Naish auf die unbekannteren Kreaturen aus z.B.Australien konzentriert oder hätte er gezeigt, wann und wie die Spaltung der Forschung in Biologen auf der Suche nach unbekannten (aber realistischen) Spezies und die "Monsterjäger" vor sich ging und wie die Arbeit der ersteren Gruppe aussieht und welche Tiere bisher entdeckt wurden... Aber so ist es eine Sammlung von bereits zig mal gelesenen Bigfoot und Nessie Geschichten, erzählt von einem Wissenschaftler, der offenbar eine sehr starke, abwertende Meinung über Menschen hat, die noch acn Monster glauben.
