*spoilers* i really wanted to like this book, but i mostly didn't. i couldn't get behind what was going on the whole time. i didn't like the love interest, the sisters didn't have enough character depth to me, i didn't like annaleigh's father. unraveling the mystery was very confusing and i couldn't follow what was happening. i didn't like morella from the beginning because i didn't care about her or her thoughts and feelings. i did not like the plot twist of the ball's never actually happening, and the whole, like, "immortal god"(?) thing being thrown in as not being a myth at the end was very abrupt. it was also just super weird reading a book that had my name in it.
