After splitting with her long term fiancé, Gabby makes a fresh start in life several states away in Colorado. In denial about her heartache over her ex, Gabby is determined to make a life for herself in Colorado despite only working part time and living in a guesthouse owned by her best friend, Mandy. Gabby finds love in an unlikely place when she accompanies Mandy on a visit to the pediatrician's office. Ted, a single father and recent widower is still grieving over his late wife and finds a new spark of life in Gabby. Ted has issues with his own guilt though and Gabby (who has never desired children in her life) has to adjust to a relationship with a child involved.
