Wilma is haunted by bad luck: her boyfriend cheats on her and lets her goldfish die, then she also loses her job. It is precisely in this chaos that her school friends report and want to meet. What now? Everyone is successful and has great lives (at least outwardly). Wilma feels like a failure and wants her life be more pretty. She starts with the first little scams and gets entangled in a network of lies from which she can no longer get out so quickly. Can she make it, will there be a turning point, will she find a new job, friend and the great happiness? In the end it seems so, but the book ends with a kind of cliffhanger. Will we get to know the real Wilma in the next part or will she get entangled in fraud again? The book is easy to read with a lot of wit and charm, here and there. In addition, there is also a lot of esotericism and life tips from Sonne, Wilma’s best friend. It is sometimes very exaggerated to increase the oh so beautiful Insta world. It was often too much for me and I also didn’t understand why the main character Wilma behaves like that, at 35. I thought it was a pity that Wilma did not apologise to her best friends Patti and Sonne for their behaviour and partially take advantage of it. But this will be discussed in the next part. The book could not fully inspire me that esoteric-stuff could have been a little less for my taste, but it was a good read for in between. I’m looking forward to the second part. I give the book 3/5 stars.
