Rezension von Fürstin der FinsternisClive Barker lässt mich oft zwiegespalten zurück. Zum einen entsprangen seiner Feder geniale Geschichten wie "Hellraiser" zum anderen sperrige, langatmige Romane wie "Jenseits des Bösen". Genauso verhält es sich auch mit den "Bücher des Blutes". Die Qualitätsschere klafft gewaltig auseinander. Lohnt es sich? Auf jeden Fall. Die ein oder andere langatmige Geschichte gerät in schnell in Vergessenheit, wenn man in der nächsten steckt, die einen fesselt. Unterm Strich eine wunderbare Sammlung von Kurzgeschichten.
