Designing Your Work Life How to Thrive and Change and Find Happiness at Work

von Bill Burnett, Dave Evans

Format:Hardcover

The authors of #1 New York Times bestseller Designing Your Life taught readers how to use design thinking to build meaningful, fulfilling lives. Now, in the original DESIGNING YOUR WORK LIFE, they apply that transformative thinking to the place we spend more time than anywhere else—work—and show readers how to create the job they want, without necessarily leaving the job they already have. Designing Your Work Life teaches readers how to create the job they want—without necessarily leaving the job they already have. “Increasingly, it’s up to workers to define their own happiness and success in this ever-moving landscape,” they write, and chapter by chapter, they demonstrate how to build positive change, wherever you are in your career. Whether you want to stay in your job and make it a more meaningful experience, or if you decide it’s time to move on, Evans and Burnett show you how to visualize and build a work-life that is productive, engaged, meaningful, and more fun.

Seriously. For people living here in the Philippines, you'll never hear the end of questions and criticisms about your career and work life etc. For us, career should be a money-making thing even if you hate your job. This book actually helps you to look things in a different way or reframing. Although, I know not many things can be reframed and the book does admit that fact. Why reframe your work life if you're feeling abused in your job? This book manages to help you reflect more on your life design and how your career or work can be redesigned in a way that also is in line with your life design. We don't do this at all especially in our country. It's a great wake up call for most of us, though as another way to look at your life and move in a different direction. Thank you to my wonderful friend who lent me her Advanced copy of this. I super appreciate it.
