Rezension von TabulettaKosuke Kindaichi fährt auf die Insel Gukomon um der Familie Kito die Nachricht über den Tod ihres Familienmitgliedes Chimata Kito zu überbringen. Zusätzlich möchte Kosuke die drei Schwestern seines Freundes Chimata beschützen, denn sie sollen umgebracht werden. Kaum ist Kosuke auf der Insel angekommen, wird auch schon die erste der drei Schwestern ermordet. Und die Rätsel nehmen ihren Lauf. Kann Kosuke die verbliebenen zwei Schwestern vor ihrem Schicksal bewahren? Ich finde den Schreibstil flüssig und das Buch war angenehm zu lesen. Das Cover ist im gleichem Stil wie der erste Band gehalten. Im Zentrum des Covers ist ein Kreis, in dem dieses mal eine kopfüber hängende Person zu sehen ist, von der Blut tropft. Ich finde den Krimi gut, denn er bietet die Möglichkeit mit zu rätseln, wer der Mörder sein könnte. Das Buch war spannend, jedoch war der Anfang etwas träge. Aber ansonsten fand ich den zweiten Teil super. Ich bin schon auf den nächsten Krimi gespannt.
Rezension von AvaswordspaceKosuke Kindaichis‘ second case (and No. 4 on my list). In this book we get a very personal case for the detective. One he was commissioned to solve or even prohibit from happening by his dying war buddy. On the way home from the lost battles and devastation of the 2nd World War, Kosuke promises to his friend to visit his families estate and prevent murder. The friend, heir to a large fishing empire, dies on the way home, leaving a letter for the detective and his last words: „My three sisters will be murdered. (…) Gokumon Island… please go there. In my place. My three sisters… My cousin… my cousin—“ (Quote from the book) The story is set on a gloomy island off the shore of Japan by the name of Gokumon, which means Hells Gate and for a long time was the home of pirates and prisoners. Now it is home to family feuds, mad men and a murderer. So, if you think I spoiled the story for you, think again. The ways the victims are killed… How past and present interplay in this case and who planned and did it all, you still have to find out. Happy guessing
